How to Make Belgium Lasers in Serum

Belgium lasers for drum and bass, made in Serum only. Here's how you do it.

My notes from this Short

01

Put A and B through one resonant filter

The filter is the most important step. It goes on A and B, the ICanHasKick wavetable and a saw four octaves down with FM from the sub. I add some drive and a lot of resonance, and LFO 2 on envelope with a very fast attack takes the cutoff all the way up. The same LFO 2 goes on the coarse pitch of A only and on a resonant EQ in the effects.

Serum oscillator B, a saw at octave -4 with FM (Sub) warp, next to the MG Low 12 filter with A and B on, a resonance peak and LFO 2 on the cutoff
Oscillator B four octaves down with FM from the sub, and the MG Low 12 filter on A and B with LFO 2 on the cutoff.
02

A 30 ms delay opens the laser up

The opening up effect comes with the delay. Unlink the BPM, link left and right together and put them at around 30 ms.
